Anhalt- ZerbstZerbst is a very small town today, but it was once was one of two major cities in the state of Anhalt in Germany (the other being Dassau). The state of Anhlat was dissolved in 1603, and Anhalt-Zerbst was one of the successory states to emerge. It had pretty much no political power. In 1793, the line of princes that ruled Zerbst disappeared and the state was annexed with Anhalt-Dassau. |
