Constantine
whom the estimable Jack McGovern
once described to a lecture hall packed full of UWM students as "a
fucking thug," is also a saint of the Greek Orthodox Church. He
also legalized Christianity in Rome in 313 AD, or some other year.

Constantine I or more better know Constantine the Great! Constantine
is most notably famed for his kicking some butt and putting the
Byzantine Empire as the New Rome; which was more affectionately
call “Constantine’s City, or Constantinople. Constantine is also very famous for the Edict of Milan. This proclaimed that the Roman Empire would be neutral in all religious worship. This meant the end of [persecution] of Christianity. This was a huge step for the Roman Empire. Rome was famous for not only the persecution of Christian, but also the murder of them. The
Edict also restored all property that was confiscated from the
Christians and gave Christians a status equal to [paganism]. This went totally away the Mos Maiorum. The Romans always worshiped wild and crazy gods, that were totally wacky. To go even further Constantine was the basically the backer of Christianity and was the first Christian Emperor.
Constantine was the son of Constantius I Chlorus. He was a general as one of two Caesari (basically a junior Caesar). At the time of his father’s death, Constantine took over the position as general. He won wars for the next 20 years and that led to his success and emperor of the west, Byzantine Empire, and the supreme allied commander, or supreme ruler of the Roman Empire.
Notable Accomplishments Constantine passed laws making the jobs of butcher and baker hereditary. But more notably he made the small farmers into [serfs]. Basically slaves, but the cannot be sold, they are attached to the lad that they work on.
War Accomplishments Constantine
was one bad dude when it came to war. He was victories over numerous
rulers including, [Marcomanni], [Alamani], [Vandals], the
Visigoths, and the Sarmatians.
