Nadezhda Krupskaya

Nadezhda Krupskaya was born on February 1869 in St. Petersburg, Russia and passed away on February 1939 in Moscow. She met Lenin in 1894. After being arrested and sentenced to three years of exile in Siberia, her and Lenin married on July 10, 1898.

Lenin's Wife

Krupskaya was an active assistant for Lenin, serving as his personal and editorial secretary for his party newspapers and journals. She supported him in his factional feuds within the Russian Social-Democratic Workers' Party, helped him organize the Bolsheviks within Russia, and developed Soviet Educational policies with an emphasis on literacy and psychology. She officially served as the Deputy Minister of Education between 1929-1939. Between 1916-1917 she was the official Party Secretary of the Bolsheviks.
