Thompson

The Thompson M1A1 submachine gun, better known as the "Tommy Gun" was a wartime refinement (cheaper and easier to manufacture) of the M1928A1 Thompson gun made famous by mobsters and G-men in the 1930s. It shot .45 caliber rounds at 700 rounds per minute. Slightly more than 425,000 were built.
