pepeshka

The PPSh 41, or "pepeshka" as Russian soldiers called it, was an easily manufactured submachine gun firing 7.62 mm ammunition as fast as 9,000 rounds per minute. Over five million of these guns were manufactured during the Great Patriotic War; it is a telling fact that German troops used captured "pepeshkas" instead of their own submachine guns whenever possible.
